This past semester I had the opportunity to study abroad in Perugia, Italy. Through the
Umbra Institute, I participated in a program called Food, Sustainability, and the Environment.
For the past six weeks, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Adamah ATL Hub Climate Action Intern. I came into the internship fueled by Tikkun Olam, hoping to deepen my understanding of how Jewish values can inspire climate advocacy, while helping translate big ideas into actionable solutions. I quickly found those values reflected in Adamah ATL’s work.

Yasher koach to Fred, the second rabbi to ever receive the award, based on the NRCCC’s website. And what a powerfully appropriate award title to describe you and your work!
On Friday, April 24th, 2026, National Council of Jewish Women Atlanta Section held their 7th annual “Women Who Dare: Celebrating Our Sheroes” luncheon where they honored Joanna Kobylivker – Community Organizer and Founder/Director of Adamah Atlanta. In total, four extraordinary Jewish women, all visionaries, changemakers, and volunteers, whose efforts improve the lives of women, children, and families were awarded.
