Located on the Huron River in the Proud Lake Recreation Area
2775 Garden Rd., Milford MI
Each tandem kayak holds two paddling participants – perfect for a parent/child pair! This activity is geared toward paddlers ages 8 and up.
Additionally, canoes are available and suitable for 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child who can paddle, with an additional 100lbs of coolers or kids in the middle. If you are bringing young children who cannot paddle, you will need two adults to paddle your canoe. Life vests are required for all and will be included in your registration.
We will begin with a review of kayak and canoe safety, enjoy paddling along the river, dive into some open swim time and picnic lunch, and then return back to our starting point. Please bring any sunscreen, water, and lunch you need. Additional summer snacks will be provided! There are bathrooms and on-site parking.
Registration Fees:
Adults 16 and up: $25
Youth ages 5-15: $15
Children 4 and under: $5

Please note: The Recreation Passport is required for all Michigan state parks, trails, historic sites, boat launches, harbors, and more. The Heavner Canoe launch is located inside of the Proud Lake State Recreation Area and requires a Michigan Recreation Passport for entry. If you do not already have one, please visit this website to purchase one in advance: http://michigan.gov/RecreationPassport
In the case of inclement weather, we will do our best to schedule a make-up date as soon as possible. You can choose to transfer your fee to the make-up date, receive a full refund, or convert your payment to a tax-deductible donation to Adamah.
