Through immersive nature adventures – swimming in the creek, exploring meadows, hiking in the forest, working the rich soil on our farm – Adamah Adventure Camp is the place to be this summer!
An amazing crew of talented farmers, wilderness experts, and fun-loving educators facilitate hands-on activities and immersive nature experiences. Campers explore the forest and the farm, swim, creek-walk, build fires, climb, share stories, sing songs, play games, and seek adventure while creating a community.

Pre-scheduled activities include pool time 3 days a week, zip-line and/or high ropes at least once a week. Pod leaders choose additional activities that best fit the spirit and energy of each group. Fridays are a special ‘choose your own adventure’ Shabbat party with festival style activities.

Nature Exploration is our traditional overnight experience with amazing specialists, awareness games, wild edible plant identification, night hikes, farm-to-table cooking, high ropes course and zipline, free swim, and more. Adamah Adventure Overnight Camp connects your children to Jewish traditions through hands-on activities and an immersive Shabbat experience in the beautiful and diverse surroundings on campus.

Camp is a safe and inclusive space ideal for busy adventurers looking for a first-time overnight camp experience. An amazing crew of passionate farmers, wilderness experts, and talented educators create a fun-loving atmosphere for all the favorite camp activities along with meaningful experiences connected to Jewish traditions and spiritual wisdom.
Days are packed with forest exploration, shelter building, creek walking, caring for farm animals, farm to table cooking, and natural crafts.
Evenings are special and inspiring, with time to relax and build friendships while picking berries at sunset, playing team games at dusk, thrilling sensory night hikes, and storytelling around the campfire.
Shabbat at camp is joyous and magical. After an all-camp festival style party, an immersive Kabbalat Shabbat service is followed by a special meal and talent show. Saturday begins with morning services outdoors, then a day full of Shabbat friendly games, time for rest and reflection, and relaxing nature exploration. As the sun fades below the horizon, a vibrant Havdallah ceremony brings community together around the bonfire with music, singing, and celebration.

Advanced Skills is for incoming 8th through 12th graders who are passionate and focused, and interested in making and learning to use high-quality tools. Campers will spend one week learning a new hard skill from a master craftsperson, or a variety of nature skills from an experienced naturalist in community at Pearlstone, while spending the evenings cooking, playing games, and having adventures. This camp has a focus on building independence, so campers sleep in their own tents in the Wilderness Village and help prepare many of their meals.

Advanced Skills Overnight Camp is for adventurers who want to deepen their knowledge with focus on a special project. Throughout the week we go on creek walks, pick wild edibles, and harvest vegetables from the farm. In the evenings, we build campfires, go on night hikes, play capture the flag, tell stories, and sing songs together. Campers spend the entire time outside, including camping out overnight in individual tents.

Counselors in training (CITs) at Adamah Adventure Camp learn how to thrive in a professional setting while enjoying a positive, upbeat, adventurous camp environment. Working at camp is more than a job—it is an opportunity to build character, develop important life skills, learn to work on a team, resolve conflict and hold responsibility. CITs at Adamah Adventure Camp will be trained in our unique Earth-based Jewish education techniques and will connect deeply to nature while learning more about themselves.

Join an amazing crew of talented farmers, wilderness experts, and fun-loving educators this summer as an Adamah Adventure Camp Counselor!
Adamah Adventure Camp is looking for counselors who are inspired by curiosity, awe & wonder, connection, and loving warmth. The ideal candidate is excited to work with youth and energized by spending time in nature while tapping into Jewish wisdom.
Day Camp staff work from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with campers on site 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Counselors spend the whole day outdoors leading interactive activities with up to 14 campers.
Overnight Camp Bunk Counselors spend the day outdoors leading interactive activities with up to 12 campers. Evenings are special and inspiring, with night hikes and community building around the bonfires. On Fridays a Shabbat festival concludes with a beautiful Shabbat service and a special meal. Saturday is spent engaging in restful Shabbat friendly activities.
Additional responsibilities will vary depending on the camp session and experience/training of each counselor (ropes course, zip-line, creek swim, cooking, etc.)
Day Camp Counselors are paid $650 per week. Bonuses are awarded to counselors who work four or more weeks.
Overnight Camp Counselors are paid $850 for 7-day sessions and $1440 for 11-day sessions.
Specialists pay will vary based on the number of days worked and their level expertise.

We enjoy a weekly Shabbat Party for our Day Campers on Friday in our Wilderness Village with shabbat songs, eco crafts, and a make your own pita over the bonfire activity.
Overnight Camp always includes a weekend. We celebrate Shabbat joyously with a Kabbalat Shabbat service on Friday evening, a special meal, and a talent show! We have Saturday morning services outdoors and spend the day participating in Shabbat friendly activities, playing games, relaxing, spending time at the creek and more. Havdallah is celebrated around a bonfire with music and community.

There are large covered pavilions which are safe shelter from thunder and lightning, and the forest or creek offer a respite from direct sun.
After consultation with the Department of Health, ONLY for periods of the day when it is deemed unsafe to remain outside (severe storms, extreme heat), we will utilize some of our indoor spaces on the campus.
In the event of a full day of inclement weather, we reserve the right to cancel that day of camp.
We will be providing bus transportation from Pikesville and Reservoir Hill. Dropoff and pick up times will be confirmed before camp begins.
Pikesville bus location is at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation: 7401 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore. Dropoff to the bus between 8:15-8:30 a.m. and pick up from the bus between 4:45-5:00 p.m.
Reservoir Hill pick up is in front of Beth Am Congregation: 2501 Eutaw Place, Baltimore. Dropoff to the bus between 8:00-8:15 a.m. and pick up from the bus between 5:20-5:30 p.m.

Any messages received via email will be printed and shared with your camper at breakfast or dinner. If campers write letters, they will be scanned and sent via email to you.
The Retreat Center at Pearlstone has a passionate culinary team led by a talented head chef. The kitchen is a fully kosher, peanut free, and food allergy conscious.

When you have a family registering who you’ve recruited, please ask them to email camp@adamah.org to let us know, and we will help arrange your incentive refund.
Camp is an opportunity to disconnect from the everyday noise and minimize distractions in order to engage with fellow campers and connect with the sounds and sights of nature. Cell phones and other electronic communication devises are not allowed.
We are working in partnership with our public health consultant at Johns Hopkins University to create policies that will best meet the needs of campers and staff. COVID and other health policies will be released in the spring, as we continue to monitor the dynamic public health situation.
If a camper needs to be sent home because of COVID or another illness directly before or during camp we will not be issuing a refund.
Please note – no partial refunds or credits will be issued for missed days for any reason including but not limited to: family vacation/travel, holidays, or changes in a camper’s schedule.
