Brett Cohen

Brett Cohen lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with his wife, Heidi. He retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 2021 after spending most of his career as a National Office partner. During his tenure at PwC, Brett led the firm’s income tax team and specialized in revenue recognition, bringing deep experience in financial oversight, risk management, and complex organizational issues.
Brett’s journey with Adamah began in 2007, when he and his entire family, including his wife, children, and parents, participated in their first Hazon NY Labor Day Bike Ride. That experience sparked a deep and enduring connection to the organization and its mission of sustainability, Jewish learning, and community. He has remained closely engaged ever since, through Hazon and now Adamah, and currently serves as Board Chair. Brett also serves on the board of the Friends of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, where he chairs the Audit Committee.
Outside the boardroom, Brett is a committed volunteer. You can often find him working with the Central Park Conservancy landscaping team or lending a hand at the Monday Night Hospitality soup kitchen. He is an avid cyclist, a passionate environmentalist, and someone who believes deeply in showing up for community, preferably fueled by a good bagel and a long ride.
Brett holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the State University of New York at Albany.
