Pearlstone Adventure Camp

Baltimore, MD

My children have been attending Adamah Adventure Camp for the last 3 years. The love that Adamah counselors and administrators feel for Judaism and the earth is genuine and infectious. I look forward each day to hearing stories about the new plants my children encountered; the frogs and fish they found on river walks; the riveting tales of ninjas and pirates, containing universal themes of courage and kindness; the unexpected discovery of a beautiful deer in the forest; the friend who bonded with them over an art project; the thrill of the zip line; the thing they thought they could not do, and then did.

Adamah brings depth and wonder to my children’s Jewish identities.

Our family is reminded year round of the joys and lessons from camp – such as when my 6 year old explains why a tree trunk has rings, when my 9 year old recognizes an edible plant, and when my 12 year old cooks our family a dish made from locally grown vegetables.

My three children come away from Adamah camp each year with renewed love of nature, heightened environmental awareness, confidence in themselves, and (of course!) lasting friendships. We can’t wait to go back!

This is one of countless stories taking root across Adamah.
