I was so excited when I found the Teva educator position — a job that felt like the perfect blend of my love for outdoor education and my desire to be more fully immersed in Jewish community, practice, and learning.
I’ve never lived in Jewish community before, and the experience has been magical.
I love sharing a home with Jewish young adults who are energized by our traditions and excited to pass them on to the kids we teach. And I’m learning something new about myself: I love teaching middle schoolers.
I’m excited to keep developing my skills as a teacher and educator. I hadn’t seriously considered becoming a classroom teacher before my Teva experience, but now it’s definitely on the table.
