Take Climate Action with Adamah

Recent weeks have brought record-breaking temperatures and intense flooding. In this period of mourning on the Jewish calendar, these climate disasters make our despair all too real. On Tisha B’Av, while we commemorate the destruction of the Second Temple, we can turn our despair into hope and action.

Coping With Climate Grief

Our climate is changing, and for many of us the stress and uncertainty is very real. Madeline Canfield of Jewish Youth Climate Movement joins Recustom for this virtual event to dive deeper into our own human resilience and explore ways to cope with climate grief.

Tisha B’Av Renewed for Temple Earth

To start with what is new yet ancient: The Shalom Center welcomes you to the sad obligation to mourn for the continuing destruction of our universal Temple Earth, just days before Tisha B’Av, and to bring active hope to protect and heal the universal Temple of all life on Earth. As part of the program, Jewish Youth Climate Movement’s Madeline Canfield will share reflections on the unique role Jews have in showing up for climate justice.

In honor of Tu B’Av (the 15th day of Av), Jewish Farmer Network invites you to learn about viticulture in Jewish history, Torah and Talmud.
