Lovingly nicknamed the “Mud Mansion”, this high-efficiency, four-season cabin combines sustainability with conventional building techniques. Designed and constructed using sustainable and recycled materials, eco features includes clay plaster walls and recycled denim & newspaper insulation, reused windows, and a lot of other building materials which were locally sourced.
Completed in 2014, our Eco Cabin was featured in the Jewish Times. During construction, a large amount of clay sat nearby waiting to be combined with other ingredients to create the plaster which forms the walls. To explain the giant heap of mud sitting in the parking lot for a few months, the following sign was posted:
